CARTA ABIERTA POR LA PAZ. DE ALBERTO RUZ

Amig@s, compañer@s del camino, herman@s de todas las redes, movimientos, grupos y tribus:



Durante mi reciente participación en el Congreso Biorregional de Norteamérica en The Farm, Tennessee, a mi regreso del Peregrinaje de 13 años a Sudamérica con la Caravana Arcoiris por la Paz, recibimos con sorpresa la noticia de la próxima entrega del Premio Nóbel de la Paz al presidente Barack Obama en el próximo mes de noviembre.



Una vez hecha una evaluación y de haber consultado con varios de nuestr@s compañer@s en el evento, decidí escribir esta CARTA ABIERTA, que después fue retomada por Fabio Manzini y Helen Samuels, para solicitar que quienes quisieran entre los presentes la firmaran, con la intención de lo más pronto posible, enviarla a todas nuestras redes, para de alguna manera manifestarle al Sr. Obama por un lado nuestro apoyo a una iniciativa que sin duda propicia un mejor clima de optimismo y de posibilidad de una era de mejoría en las relaciones entre pueblos, naciones y con el medio ambiente, a nivel mundial, pero sin por ello dejar de seguir llamándole la atención en aquellos temas que consideramos que se debería hacer más para que en realidad las palabras y promesas se manifiesten de una manera concreta.



Esta es la primera vez en mi vida que tomo una iniciativa de ese tipo, porque considero que esta inédita nominación es una oportunidad importante para seguirnos fortaleciendo como redes de personas y movimientos, en todo lo que contribuya a sentar las bases de una verdadera CULTURA DE PAZ, a nivel biorregional y planetario. Por ello, les pido que se sumen con sus firmas a esta CARTA ABIERTA, ya que contamos con la posibilidad de enviársela personalmente al Sr. Obama y hacerle saber que nuestras voces cuentan. Aprovecho para mandarles un caluroso abrazo, donde quiera que estén, y pedirles que la reenvíen a sus listas y redes, y que sigamos cada un@ poniendo en la gran cesta de la vida nuestros granitos de paz, cada vez que podamos.

Friends, road companions from all networks, movements, groups and tribes who share a common vision:

During my recent participation to the North American Biorregional Congress at The Farm in Tennessee, just after my return from the 13 years pilgrimage to South America with the Rainbow Peace Caravan, we receive with surprise the news of the coming awarding of the Peace Nobel Prize to president Barack Obama.

Once I did an evaluation and having consulted to several of our companions at the event, I decided to wrote this OPEN LETTER, which was later reviewed by Fabio Manzini and Helen Samuels, to ask those of the presents to sign it, with the intention to send it to our networks, and to manifest Mr. Obama that we support an initiative that obviously helps create a better climate of optimism and offers a possibility for a betterment of relations among people, nations and with the environment, at a world scale, but that we will continue calling him the attention to those subjects that we consider Mr. Obama needs more than words and promises, so this one manifest in a more concrete way.

This is the first time in my life that I take such initiative, because I consider that this inedited nomination is an important opportunity to continue strengthening our networks and movements, to truly create a Culture of Peace at a bioregional and planetary scale. Considering the above, I ask you to add your signatures to this OPEN LETTER, because we have the possibility to have it sent to Mr. Obama and let him know that our voices count.

I also want to send all of you a warm hug, wherever you are, and ask you to re-send the letter to your own lists, so we continue adding our peace grains to the great basket, each time it is possible.
